Sportster Lust.

I sold my Ironhead to help fund my trip to Australia and to be honest I haven't missed it all that much. Sure when it was first sold I was gutted, but I have the bonnie project to do and I have the GS sat there too so its not like I dont have bikes. With this trip coming to an end though I have been getting a massive lust for a Sportster. So I did the internet thing and now have myself in need of an evo Sporster to do some sort of Brat/Crazy Orange style of thing which hopefully wont cost me to much cash. SO..... I have a bike frame and bike and a front end off a savage for possible for sale to help the sportster fund.
Another thing, does anybody know of a crash damaged (not to fucked) one in need of a new home and repairs? Or where I could get one? Its a while off but ideas.

Went to darkside skateboard shop/museum yesterday (a proper tour of this joint with photos soon). A fucking sick place. The dude there gave me a list of all the local parks, maybe I'll go have a sesh. I havent been skating much at all while I've been out and about and thats due down to the fact its shite to skate on your own. All the kids here seem to skate massive bowls of death, and massive boards too. They dont skate smaller than 8 1/2'' but I was told some of the parks have good some street so some photos of tricks and possible videos.

So yeh, now down in Goldie living with me aussie pal Joshy who I crashed with in Sydney. Getting back on the feet and all that stuff. There is skate parks and surf here (if me surf was any good).

Shitty van death

Well so the cost of the van repairs were bigger than I thought. Not to worry I think its fixed now. 40kms down the road. NEGATIVE. Shitty van death. Fucking cunting bastards taking me cash. Gonna find away to get it back man. The road side assist took us down to Gold Coast for free which is quite a treck from where we were stuck, I guess that aint all that bad. So yeh fucker right.

Stuck (soulda gotta bike)

Was hoping to bless people with pics of lovely things and piss you all off with what fun I'm having. Well this is not the case. I'm stuck in a little town with nothing to do. The money I have left cannot be spent on beer and/or fun. This is all part of the adventure though....

So the van took us bout 770km to Airlie Beach where we spent a week drinking boating and beening merry. There was some running issues on the way the cooling system was a bit sketchy so a quick thermostat change and all was good. There was also something that was a bit like a fuel issue going on new fuel filter and clean the carb back together and more road trippy shit. Then the same issue started again. Then again..... and again, on our way back down. Good job I got road sise assist. So we get picked up and taken to a little town with a garage and now we are waiting for repairs. The carb has been serviced, new manifold gasket. But, through more inspection it seems some bolts have snapped at some point causing the mainfold to move about and wear, which must have got worse so there is a massive a leak causing it to run like shite. The dudes on with it are ok and they are keeping the price down for me. Just waiting on a new manifold. Should be outta here soon.

Cut the wood to for the floor and fit the carpet this weekend, next weekend timber for bed frame and the like. Happy bout' this so far exciting times.

Bridie and I bought this van the other day. Good price too, just painted the back to neaten the inside. Next plan is to wood the floor then carpet it.

BSA Motor

Today

Bridie and I went for a walk around Bundaberg today we've been around heaps of times to do shopping and the like. Today though we saw this old Holden on display the owners were advertising the 'ALL HOLDEN DAY' which is on tomorrow. It will include Holden's old and new and a swap meet. It has been so long since I've been to anything like this, I'm fairly giddy to be honest.



This Triumph is in a pawn shop that I love to go in and look around the owner of the shop did have his in there until it was sold two days ago. I never got a picture of that one because I never had my camera with me. This one is also for sale too but due to my backpacker budget there is no possible way for me to afford it.



Also, I have an M20 motor for sale if anybody is interested please get hold of me ave.done@hotmail.com. The engine is in North Yorkshire, posting maybe an issue due to the fact I'm not there.

Watched these two documentaries the other night. Needless to say I fucking miss motorcycles, tinkering, riding, fun and everything else that comes with them.

Well Well Well.

So, I'm chatting to me mum on Facebook the other day and me dad has bought this. Wonder what he is thinking coz I'm the one with the T140 motor and all me bike bit in my parents garage! I also have a frame I bought offa Pete S in there. Anywho she goes on to tell me that he may have bought it coz it has a V5 and matching case and frame numbers and the like. Then I starting thinking to myself (which is bad considering I'm on the other side of the world travelling about) about the Triumph sat in the garage which I need to build and the ideas start coming.

I see this thing on the old google I really like how the seat looks is not sprung or anything quite minimal. Just a personal thing I'm not a massive fan of the big tanks, it looks good and all just not for me.

Then I found this. Could anybody tell me what tank it is? I guess it would have been tunneled to suit the fact that it is OIF. It just look so bare having a small tank which I really like.

Anyway I don't know what me dad is doing and it don't help thinking of all this stuff while I'm here and the bike and shit is there.

Bundaberg Skatepark

Tried to do a 360degree type photo here but I cant take too many on me camera so here's the rough thing. Seems ok a lil sketchy in places but my skating is a lil' sketchy at the mo' so it could just have been me. Nice to skate, it seems hard to find time and I'm starting to feel like I maybe lacking some tricks I should be able to do. Guess I gotta try harder.

Bat Time

Every nite, about the same time its 'Bat Time'. Thousands of bats take to the sky its a impressive site. The first time I ever saw this was our first nite in Bundaberg and we were on our return from Pizza Hut and it was just like a massive fast moving cloud above us. Some of the little critters fly fair low too!!

Its been sooooo fucking long forgot bout' this.
WEll, what to report. Massive amounts of boozing and fun. I've also taken up trying to earn slide guitar and some delta blues type shit but that aint working so well. I'll get there.
Bridie and I now own a laptop so blog shit will be more often. We have moved from Sydney to Bundaberg the journey took 14hrs by one train then 4 by another. It was cheaper than flying, bags and the like, also I dont have a hard case for my guitar so it seemed easier, plus we got to see a fair bit too.
As for Sydney its a sweet place easy to get stuck though and its a money eater. We were living in the area Maroubra famous for its surf and the Bra' Boys. If you get a chance watch the documentary, I may even have the link for it. I may put it up. We were living with a great set of people, Jake, Josh and Troy..... they took out on events and to see there family for christmas (there will be a blog post dedicated to them shortly). Before then I lived in Coogee. Good pub, good beach, good people. Most of my pictures from Coogee were deleted in some "Rob is shit a technology" act. BASTARD. So I dont have a massive amount of Sydney photos. Bridie Does I'll nick em' soon.



Met some sick skaters too, Maroubra park is sick as fookers like!! There was a chap from Europe, Jan and an American dude, Alan. Alan made a video of us shredding.... ill post it one day soon.
